On October 31, 2022, the Rolla Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) and Phelps County Property Crime Detectives concluded a short-term narcotics investigation at the 100 block of Eisenhower Street, Doolittle, Missouri. Officers from RADE, the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department, the Missouri Department of Conservation, and the Rolla Police Department served a search warrant at the residence in connection with this investigation.
As a result of the search warrant, investigators located and seized a quantity of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
Cody E. Bunton, age 32, was arrested for the seized items and placed on a 24-hour hold at the Phelps County Jail.
November 1, 2022, arrest warrants were issued on Bunton for Trafficking Drugs – 2nd Degree and Delivery of a Controlled Substance. His bond was set at $250,000. A second warrant was issued on Bunton for Failure to Obey Judges Order. Bond – CAPIAS
The charges for which Bunton was arrested are merely accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
