On April 13, 2022, the Rolla Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) concluded a short-term narcotics investigation at the 24000 block of County Road 6130, Newburg, Missouri. Officers from RADE, the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department, and the Rolla Police Department served a search warrant at the residence in connection with this investigation. As a result of the search warrant, investigators located and seized a quantity of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and four firearms.

Chad Krause, age 42, and Mackenzie Wagner, age 24, were arrested for the items seized and placed on a 24-hour hold at the Phelps County Jail.

Arrest warrants were issued on Krause and Wagner for Delivery of Controlled Substance (methamphetamine/fentanyl) and Unlawful Use of Weapon – Possess Weapon and A Felony Controlled Substance. Their bond was set at $150,000.00 cash or surety.

The charges for which Krause and Wagner were arrested are merely accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
