Arrest – Krista Hardy

On June 07, 2022, Deputies responded to the 11000 block of South Highway 68 in St. James, Missouri, for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the victim, a 73-year-old male with multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to Phelps Health and later University Hospital, Columbia, Missouri, with serious injuries.

Law enforcement determined Krista Hardy, age 30, of Rolla, Missouri was responsible for the assault. Ms. Hardy fled the scene in a car and was later arrested in Rolla, Missouri, by the Rolla Police Department.

After further investigation by Phelps County Detectives, it was determined that Ms. Hardy stabbed the victim several times with the intent to kill. Ms. Hardy was conveyed to the Phelps County Jail, pending warrant application for Assault 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action.

On June 7, 2022, an arrest warrant was issued on Ms. Hardy for Domestic Assault 1st Degree – Serious Physical Injury and Armed Criminal Action. Her bond was set as No Bond.

The charges for which Ms. Hardy have been arrested are merely an accusation and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting the charge must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
